As Founder of Prosperity Accounting & Bookkeeping Solutions, Bonita brings together professional accounting and tax expertise with extensive hands-on commercial and senior management experience.
Having worked within businesses in both financial and senior management roles, Bonita has experienced first-hand the realities that business owners and management teams face — from cash flow pressures, profitability and financial controls to managing people, improving processes and making difficult commercial decisions. This experience has shaped the way Prosperity approaches its clients: not simply as an accounting service provider, but as a trusted financial and business partner.
Bonita works closely with business owners and management teams across accounting, taxation, financial reporting, statutory compliance and business advisory. Her approach goes beyond preparing figures and submitting returns. She focuses on understanding the business behind the numbers, identifying risks and opportunities, and translating financial information into practical advice that supports better decision-making.
As a Chartered Business Accountant in Practice, Registered Tax Practitioner and Independent Reviewer, Bonita combines technical expertise with commercial insight and a strong understanding of the South African regulatory environment.

As Head Management Accountant at Prosperity Accounting & Bookkeeping Solutions, Ruan plays a key role in overseeing the accounting and financial reporting functions of our clients, ensuring that accurate and meaningful financial information supports effective business decision-making.
As a qualified Management Accountant, Ruan brings a strong management accounting perspective to his work. He understands that financial information should do more than record what has already happened — it should help business owners understand how their businesses are performing, where attention is required and where opportunities for improvement may exist.
Ruan works closely with clients across accounting, management reporting, budgeting, VAT and financial analysis. With a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail, he ensures that the underlying accounting records are reliable and that management information provides a meaningful picture of the financial performance and position of the business.
A further area of Ruan's expertise is fixed asset management and accounting. He assists clients with maintaining accurate asset registers, depreciation calculations and the accounting treatment of asset acquisitions and financing arrangements, ensuring that significant business investments are correctly reflected and monitored within the financial records.
He also has a keen interest in accounting systems, processes and cloud-based technology, assisting clients in developing practical and efficient accounting environments that improve the quality and accessibility of their financial information.

Genevieve brings extensive professional accounting experience to the Prosperity team, with particular expertise in complex corporate structures, trusts and multi-entity environments.
As a Chartered Business Accountant in Practice who also operates her own accounting practice, Genevieve has a broad understanding of the financial, regulatory and operational challenges faced by business owners. Her experience spans accounting, taxation and broader business compliance, with particular strength in VAT and additional experience across payroll and HR, giving her a well-rounded commercial perspective.
Within Prosperity, Genevieve leads our focus on corporate structures and trusts, assisting clients whose financial affairs extend across multiple companies, shareholders, trusts and other entities. She helps clients understand the financial and accounting relationships within these structures and identify areas that may require attention or further specialist input.
Her strong knowledge of VAT and taxation complements this work, enabling her to identify important accounting and tax considerations. Where matters require legal or specialised professional advice, Genevieve works in conjunction with the appropriate professional advisers as part of a coordinated approach.
